Desired Longer In-Between Patch Times

We should be lucky to get any patches at all, poor Yoshi-P's been hospitalized 57 times between patches this expansion alone!

I actually welcome the longer inbetween patch times. This gives new and old players time to do the longer content and new players to reasonably contest long time ranked veteran players in achievements, minions, mounts, and etc.


I personally wouldn't mind if the developers took a year off inbetween patches, and re-ran all the crossovers, mog hunts, special events, and etc, and have dedicated gamers re-run Eureka, Bozja, and other content for exclusive rewards during such a long break.

For example,

1) 1 rare Token (Pearl of the Eureka) from clearing Eureka

2) 1 rare Token (Pearl of the Bozja) from clearing Bozja

3) 1 rare Token (Pearl of the POTD) from clearing POTD

4) 1 rare Token (Pearl of the HOH) from clearing HOH

5) 1 rare Token (Pearl of the Rival Wings) from clearing Rival Wings

6) 1 rare Token (Pearl of the Blue Mage) from clearing or re-clearing Blue Mage log

7) 1 rare Token (Pearl of the Fates) from clearing or re-clearing the all Major Fates with Achievements*

8) And other content as desired….



The tokens don't have to be pearls. It could be anything, but it would be very similar to the now retired weekly Arch Mage quest, "The Gift of the Archmagus" from Koh Rabntah in Mor Dhona. These exclusive items (i.e. rare minion, mount, and/or gear) can only be obtained during that year only.

Just because you want to continue playing old content should everyone else be waiting for you? What about all the players who have already played this content? Shouldn't they get anything new until you're ready?

Just consume what you can and maybe focus on other things either in game or outside the game?

No matter what they do, you people will just rush the content and pull an Oliver Twist and ask for more. This was true back then and it still true now. Its time to come to terms with this and take responsbility whether your sub is worth it or not if you think the game doesnt hand hold your fun.

I don't think they need to do a longer wait time between patches, to be frank, especially for something of this nature where it's just rerunning older content.

I do, however, think this would be a good idea to incorporate as part of the natural patch cycle and just have it as a continual thing. Specially if rare rewards will be tied to it.

yes? tourists are subhuman
people who just subscribe for a month each patch just to do the msq dungeons and alliance raids should not be the ones being catered to
