    Workshop turn ins

    Hey i am just building the new house in the workshop, but i noticed something really annoying



    why is it only 3 items per turn in instead of 15?

    this makes me have to click HUNDREDS of times to turn in materials, and usually it is 1/3 of the required items per turn in and not 1/15

    because turning in materials into the workshop gives exp. more turn in opportunities, more exp. more turn ins, more FC company points added.

    Once upon a time, the FC workshop was an activity that was designed around the FC working together as a group to create things - in fact it used to be a hard requirement that project advancement could only be done while in a light party or more of crafters. By breaking up the turn-ins it allowed multiple FC members to participate and benefit from the exp gain, and theoretically lower the workload upon each individual FC participant.

    Of course, as you well know, we don't play like that and it became apparent that many fcs usually only have one or two people that do all the workshop tasks themselves so SE removed the light party to advance requirement. The broken up turn-ins still remains most likely because it still allows random FC members to contribute little bits and is only a minor inconvenience for us solo workshop meisters.

    Small housing skins are 3 turn-ins of each material per phase.

    Medium housing skins are 9 turn-ins of each material per phase.

    Large housing skins are 15 turn-ins of each material per phase.

    (exceptions are when the number of materials to be submitted aren't divisible by those numbers).

    The workshop projects were originally meant to be group efforts with multiple players submitting materials at the same time. They haven't adjusted the system since solo completion of projects was added.

    The XP was intended to be split up between players, not all going to the same player.

    I agree it's annoying and it would be nice if SE updated the system to reflect how it's currently used but any such update is likely low on their list of priorities among all the other things that also need QoL updates.

    Try because they wanted to make workshop crafting more accessible not less annoying.

    If this was properly programmed you should be able to turn in any amount of materials you want, just one or all at once. And if that is not possible then not make it as tedious as possible. it is already 4 clicks per turn in (5 if its HQ) which should only be 1 or 2 clicks.
    This results in unnecessary 1000+ clicks to turn in all materials.

    they even got it done for Collectables, instead of turning in every single one by one, you can now simply click a list and turn them in.

    I agree. I hate it when I quick synth some mats and can't just submit them in as is because I ended up with 7 HQ and 23 NQ. I'm forced to back out, lower quality, then load the project again so I can finally submit the materials.

    Clue: it wasn't properly programed from the start. They made it better by eliminating the partied bit. It isn't either good or convenient yet.

    Do not hold your breath waiting for a change that may or may not happen.
