Raiding in FF14 doesn't actually require THAT much skill. You just need patience and 7 teammates with brains and most of the rest will happen automatically from there.
Given many members of the raiding community are convinced that most of the player base has two brain cells (each, I think), 2 and 3 are tricky, and 4 and 5 sound tedious rather than toxic.
