    The difficulty of Normal Content in this game needs to increase.

    Just a take on XIV's poor design when it comes to content.

    The average skill level of people in this game is terribly low.

    The Dungeons and Trials along the way do NOTHING to help people get better at the game. The difficulty of content never changes, so the average player has no reason to get better.

    The game does not get harder the longer you play it.

    The gap between normal and extreme content only exists because the normal content of the game is so stupidly easy and doesn't get any harder as the game progresses.

    Push people out of their comfort zone, Slowly increase the difficulty of content as the expansions go on.

    Yeah, how about not. I already hate having to do low tier content with randoms. The average player isn't going to get better. They will remain at their current level, and it will rapidly become everyone else's problem. The game has gradually upped the difficulty of even basic stuff over the years, and thus far there is zero sign of your average player in any way stepping it up.

    You sure about that? Because while the dungeons are pretty bad outside of some of the bosses, the trials are consistently pushing you harder and harder.

    Making the game harder isn't going to magically make people better, it's just going to lose players who don't want to (or cannot) put that effort in. If your goal is to up the "average" then I guess whatever.. but if you're a game company that relies on player retention, then you're probably not going to want to cut player base just to make it so some players don't have slightly slower runs.

    There is currently no effort they need to put in, lmao. No one is going to quit over the difficulty dial going up a couple notches above 0.

    With the exceptions of Bismarck and Thordon, every MSQ trial since HW requires you to put in effort, it's easy to die in them.

    EDIT: Several of which have had people asking them to be nerfed at launch, including both Nidhogg and Shinryu.

    There have been posts precisely like this one for the last 10 years. Do you know what they have changed? Nothing. Do you know what they will change? Nothing. Yoshi and crew will keep doing what they do best. The sub #'s keep increasing over time. If you are unhappy with the state of the game take a break or play something else.

    Put thrice-come ruin on dungeon bosses with a 30s falloff, 3 strikes and you are out. Cant get healed out of doom.

    The newest dungeon from MSQ kinda has that element with a straight up doom debuff, but I feel like 1 strike and out is a bit unfair (altough you can esuna it on the dungeon)

    As for the rotation part, I assume adding minor DPS checks that reward the players could be a nice plus. Do great damage?, the boss says "I am impressed" as they die and drop an aditional chest with materia/more gear, or chance for another minion drop, or a buff that lasts untill the next boss, etc.

    As long as you put a carrot on a stick, people will try to get it. And only the worst of the worst will go "i cant be bothered to try harder for the prize"

    People say this kind of thing.. but then we get challenges like endwalkers"you got stuck in a soldiers body" quest and the demands for a difficulty choice are made so emphatically that the devs put one in for EVERYTHING.

    Not everyone finds the things you think are 0 to be easy. Not everyone is you or your friends. Go ahead and feel superior if that's what keeps you going, but don't pretend they don't exist or that it's not some peoples experience.

    Echo buffs are there for a reason.
