I can't fathom the opposition to a request as basic as this one other than the usual contrarians or people who, as the first page showed, are so afraid of boogeymen they can't actually tell who they are. Nothing posted in this thread so far has made much of an argument against this glamour besides people getting their feelings hurt over a uniform, and consequent nitpicking.

Goodness help them should they ever play Lost Ark which has released multiple military sets over the past year or FFVII/FFVIII where they feature prominently.

Empathy is not something you are really keen on is it?

Anyway, I will say that most of the militaristic uniforms I have seen in this and other games do still have their own spin/take on them. I do not think anyone is saying no to any military-like gear and I know allot of people have been wanting more Garlean-like gear over the years. But what you seem to be asking for in the OP is a more 1:1 copy of the pictures you posted, and surely you can understand why some people would be a little hesitant agains it, if not agree with them?

Also, why do you not think the Tower of Babil sets are not close enough? Been having another look at them and they seem to be fit the style you are looking for. Clear Soviet/WW2 influences but set within the games lore. If the below image is not militaristic in nature then I don't know what is! Very much like the Squall one you posted, real-life influences but still flavoured in the game they come from.
