Additional Garlean Fashion Inspiration

I'm not really seeing how Garlean uniforms would be an issue. They've always had some of the sickest drip in the game. People have been begging for a lot of it for ages, most notably the powered armor their highest ranking officers and officials are typically seen wearing.

Basically that, yeah. But no this game can't have that but we can sure have as many food animations as we want and the dreaded KPOP loporrits set to dance yet again on Zodiark's grave.

It's just so exhausting. Perhaps I should have posted clothes worn by American GIs instead, which are also more of what I'd like to see in game.

Serious question, that you are either gonna ignore, or you have me personally ignored (coward) and wont see.
Even IF you got these glamours. Will they make the game better for you and make you log in and enjoy it?
Because several times you say "This is the last straw" and talk about playing "Better games" but your still here, still complaining about how bad the game is right now.....but now here you are advocating for a Military Glamour....why do you care about getting certain glams that you would enjoy in this game, when you dont even enjoy the game?

There's a similar chest in machinist have at level 70. Especially if you pump it in Eureka, so you can dye it. If you unlock a machinist at all, of course. No thanks.

And in general, there is a thing exist in game such Marketboard and other NPCs that sell things. I heard that if you give a lot more time, you can even in-game do something like that you showed in this thread

I'll tell you what I wrote before. It's not that big a deal.

However, in-game they evoke similar messages and iconography as real life dictatorships do/did. A lot of their actions have real life parallels. I personally feel that it's fine to admit to this, because that is how they're written. Does it go beyond that? Obviously, it does. I'm not saying you should never ever have this glamour. But in-universe...
- Garleans tortured, disfigured and drove people crazy with human experimentation
- Heavily segregated people of their colonies and ascension is extremely hard for them
- Employed torture devices as population control (shock collars)
- Murdered across their way into a campaign and had zero issue treating the people they conquered with hostility even after they were over
- Forcefully stamped out any form of religion, this being justified as their fear of Primals
- Taking elements of a conquered population's culture and twist them to fit their narrative and bring shame on those they conquered (Measure of Our Reach, Garlean Gunblades...)
- Also, cult of personality around a charismatic military leader

If I were roleplaying and my character happened to be a Bozjan warrior of light, that bit when Julius puts shock collars on Alisaie and Alphinaud would be triggering. Because we know from the Gunbreaker sidequests that they used those on the Blades and other Bozjans.
To me, they are meant to be seen in such a way out of the virtue of how they are written.

However, last time I said this I got called out for not taking it easy. So I'll state as much here: it's a game, do whatever you want. We do have plenty of military-style gear, but if you want Garlean specifically, it could just be because of their tech look, who knows. If you choose to roleplay with those symbols on, know that the way they're written will be a major factor. Because that's their history, that's their lore. But that's just a base, you're free to do however you want with it. Don't let some person's reading of it stop you. I just personally read their behaviour as having unfortunate implications that parallel real life. In my opinion, Garlemald shouldn't be glorified just for its aesthetic. But uh... I'm not an authority, I'm not your mom :| you do you

I'm at least speaking from myself, I already had this view on the subject before. I don't mind military outfits. I'm currently wearing the Field Commander's Jacket for a reason. And I like the military gear we've had in dungeons like Bae's Wall and such. Garlean gear just carries unfortunate implications for me, and me alone. I can't speak for others tho.
So no, Aveyond has nothing to do with it, at least not for me. And I'm okay with military gear, just not "that one" And it's fine to disagree, I never said I was perfect.

I am not against military outfits by any stretch of the imagination.

That being said, I don't think you should be crying about people being contrarianism with you, considering your repeated attempts to bash people solely based on their playstyle (e.g., being in Limsa, and in many instances their glamour itself) - You are the last person that should be crying, and frankly you ask for it.
