Free Company Portraits and Plates

I think we need Free Company Portraits and Plates, possibly opens when a free company reaches rank 20 and opening more features as the free company gains more rank.* It would be the exact same concept as the adventure plates, but only notable FC members shown in the portrait (up to 4 or 8 members), generic picture of house with background of the location, free company symbol, and the normal accents and backgrounds.

Good idea. I just hope SE doesn't ruin it with poor QA since portraits are already getting downgraded every patch.

Seems a little limiting.

Also I feel like adding more portraits/plates might be a bit overwhelming? Instead of company specific portraits/plates, we made some sort of company accent for the regular portraits/plates? It'd still be customizable, and it'd show up on every FC member's plate. Maybe make it customizable between the different company ranks too.

We should build on what we already have, instead of adding more.

I would leave the member portraits out of it. That would just open the door to drama about why the FC Master picked member A but not member B.

Not certain what you mean by generic picture of the house - are you saying just whatever the chosen housing skin is but not the decorating? That wouldn't really do anything to give the FC plate a unique quality.

Certainly having the plate display the FC symbol/backdrop with the chosen FC colors would be nice.

I agree here. They could easily add a feature to be able to apply your FC company name, crest, and colors to existing Adventurer plates. It could also be locked until achieving a certain rank.

These were my thoughts as well. FCs have a lot of people, and it's easily very possible for more than 4-8 people to contribute heavily to the FC, but with the limitations there wouldn't be room for everyone. People already complain about FCs being non-inclusive and this would be something else to push it over the top.

Sure, a free company portrait thing that uses the slogan same as the plate uses search comment. That's a good idea, but they need to fix what we have first.
Ever since the release it has been more limiting and confusion-inducing with some of the decisions they made.

I was thinking something simple and similar to our fan kits. For example, placing the FC house in the background, having our FC members replace the NPC ones, and the FC slogan replace the text in the image below.





Also, we have a lot of twitter banners from Heavensward to Endwalker where simple replacement of text, npc's, and backgrounds could replaced with existing FC inspired slogans, notable members, and relevant backgrounds.
