Why do people keep begging for an auction house when we essentially have one already? I realize we can still streamline the current system a bit more, but it works.

Yeah sure it works. Are you one of the people keeping your retainer in uldah's wards permanently so that you don't have the "wards full" problem? Them limiting the number of retainers in there is understandable, but the problem wouldn't exist if they scrapped the whole retainer crap and made a regular AH, with retainers being your storage chest.

Sure there are other wards besides ul'dah, but no one ever buys stuff in there. If it's not in uldah, it's not getting sold, mainly because it's a bother to switch to every mercantile house, wait till the lame servers load the area, then compare prices.

That is why people keep asking for a proper system. Even if it's not happening before 2.0

Whatever they are saying, I don't see why it is not possible to have ONE are with THREE search npcs, each connecting to their respective wards. Probably another retarded limitation of the engine that shouldn't have been used for a MMO in the first place.
