Been stuck on the exact same early EW quest for over a year now

I hate that girl in green and I want her head removed from her body so bad. I've tried over and over and get pissed off beyond belief that I don't return to the entire EW zones for months because I don't want to even have to think about that B.

Anyone else ever get stuck on such an insanely stupid idea of a quest that you avoid almost everything to do with it?

Probably for different reasons.[most likely when it comes to how a SP RPG goes with a certain "Fixes"]

On that quest specificall though, not really.[had to loop up the quest, as I had to be sure what the topic]
obviously we can't say much. but you know, gotta sprinkle new "tech"/"Quest Activities".

When it comes to XIV have not really faced anything that makes me stop, unless its an option that makes me think if there is no path to return. <like a certain AR option, or "Tribe" option.>

All I can say, once you've played one of those, you've played them all.
Of course it's "Clever" though. in when it pulls a Turn around in Red Light and Green Light.

if you have issues with it, all I can say is just watch someone complete it and be done with it(and kinda think when they are likely to turn around. or if there sre objects for you to use. cause it's likely the case.)

I admit I did find that one annoying to do at launch, because the zone was crowded (because Endwalker launch) and so lots of people were on that quest pathway and would accidentally aggro nearby enemies which pulled them onto the quest pathway, and then you either stood in a morbol barf cone (and became too debuffed to move from cover spot to cover spot, thus failing the quest and restarting) or you moved out of that AoE... and got spotted and restarted the quest. It took I think four tries as a result of that, and by the end I was thinking "this really ought to have been an instanced thing, just to avoid this issue".

What's giving you trouble about it specifically, though? If you want any advice, I mean. If you just want to vent -- and sometimes that's what people need -- then... sympathies.

Like I want to be the bad guy and remove the blood from her body that's how much I loathe and hate her. I want to remove her skin. I really really really hate this quest and if I have to do any more of these I'm done with this game until a story skip is available. I don't care about the games story anymore.

The trick is to take note of the terrain and if there is something like a tree or rock nearby, dart behind it, as you can expect the target to stop and turn around shortly after passing by that, which is the key to getting passed those quests (you're meant to shadow them which means hiding when they turn around). You can tell usually when the quest is about over when the npc will suddennly start running, and when they do that, they'll no longer keep stopping and turning around, so you can run after them without fear. It's just getting to that point that is frustrating, so yeah, we definetely feel your pain.

I remember hiding behind a big rock and got spotted immediately. Turns out these quests are not that intuitive when you play as a Lala... >.>

You're messing with us OP, because really? You stopped the entire MSQ for an entire year because of something thats not that overly difficult!?

No, I one-shotted the quest. I even did it on an alt.

You just need keep running behind her while she is running, but have an object in mind to hide behind and as soon as you reach that object, stop following and hide behind it. She will probably stop and ask what's going on, then turn around. You need to be behind the object when this happens.

After she turns back and continues running, repeat this process.

I'm another that dislikes that quest but rather than get stuck on it, I pushed myself to complete it. I'd make note of where I was detected then make certain to get to cover faster on the next attempt. You can stay almost directly to her side as long as she is moving, you just need to make sure you've got cover when she gets to the spot where she stops.

If you have a hard time remembering where exactly she stops, use a Waymark at those locations. It will help you plan ahead if you need to repeat.
