After the lackluster showing in 6.3, wherein we were forced to endure the presence of the notorious Myths of the Realm femroe and her open sesame "humour!" moment I think it is time to address the sort of representation that this game actually needs more of, traditional aesthetics.

Imagine if Arenvald didn't get his legs randomly snapped in half in 6.3 and went on to join the party as our Paladin as opposed to a character with the face of a little girl. Or if instead of trying to make some kind of pretty boy, Vrtra's human visage wasn't designed in such an uncanny way.

Men usually get the short end of the stick in both customization available to players and the overall appearances of male NPCs, save a few. However, I think it's important to put an immediate halt to these sort of odd looking, widely believed to be self-inserted characters such as the aforementioned one from the alliance raid and the atrocious Viera that kept randomly showing up in Bozja wearing sunglasses.

At this point "subverting expectations" in this regard would mean staying away from those sort of quirky designed characters which have us on a fast-track to someday see our very own version of Fire Emblem Engage's toothpaste chan and delivering more along the lines of this:
