Friending Alts on the Same World...

I love FF14, and because of that, I have a 5 Alts. There are a lot of people who have Alts, because they want to experience the story using a completely new character, play style, job, etc.

I think it would be beneficial to be able to friend your alts on the same world. That would mean you'd be able to mail stuff and money to your alts. You could share your house with an Alt, cutting down on the housing situation, and would cut down on a lot of frustration in not being able to share directly with my Alts. As it is, I have a friend who I send things to, who then sends or trades with my Alt, and vice a versa, when she has the time. It would be really nice to eliminate this constant frustration.

That would indeed be nice. In the past there has from time to time been bugs that allowed you to friend your alts. Those bugs have since been fixed.
It is intentional that we can't friend alts, and that this is one of the least alt-friendly MMOs out there. Presumably it is an attempt to fight RMT, but one which is likely to have minimal effect.
