In the current climate where people are taking exception to basic measures such as avoiding known slurs and triggers, majority exceptionalism "I've never had a problem so why should I bother to educate myself? Other people should deal with my ignorance", sometimes it needs to be said.
Are you assuming everyone knows what triggers you though? People get triggered by the word moist. Doesn't mean I'll stop using it.
The issue nowadays from my point of view is people get all up in arms about "muh feelings". You can just say what triggers you without the expectation from the other person. If the person cares/respects you they will listen.
Let people make their own decisions, no need for this stupid follow up.
