Is there too much soy in this game's community

I mean, one anal person making a comment like that, isn't a sign that the whole community has changed.

That said, not everyone is going to like it when you blatantly insult them and call it banter... TC.

I mean, it's not that you can't, it's just that people feel empowered to not take that kind of shit without calling it out anymore. Free speech is like that, people are free to disagree with what you say.

I mean, most of the policing I see from people aren't even racist, sexist or homophobic, it's just banter or light hearted commentary.

Comment "Oh ninja, when will you learn that orange candies aren't your friends? :P" after they die the 3rd time and they get super aggressive.

Mention "Hey tank, mind using some cooldowns on wall to walls a bit more? " and all of a sudden you get backlashed at for "telling them how to play".

It's like people can't take *ANY* criticism nowadays when you could comment on this and people would shrug it off, laugh it off or play silly back with you, but like I said. The online community has definetly changed over the past decade.

In fact, I'd argue that is a symptom of a lot of aggressive banter.
People have been conditioned to think that every piece of criticism is meant in an accusatory manner.
Absolutely nothing to do with 'soy' 'woke' or 'snowflake's. It's the opposite, it's the inevitable result of 'testosterone fuelled' aggression.

Plus its not something particularly new either. The amount of rage quits I saw back in say, my WoW days over any criticism of mistakes vastly dwarfs the amount of stuff I have seen in FFXIV. Heck even back in my FFXI days, arguments against party members would break out over what is right/wrong, leading at times to people pulling a bunch of overlevered monsters to wipe the party before anyone could flee to a zone over petty things…
