Here is a million dollar question, cause I do not understand this. What is up with people nowadays getting bent out of shape over things they have zero control over. Why not take personal accountable for ones own self and learn to control how they personally deal with outside factors instead of trying to get the outside factor to bend to them. Someone makes fun of you, calls you bad, tells you to self delete w/e who freaking cares they are random strangers in a video game world, they are no better then NPC's in the grand scheme of things. Sure it hurts, but why give them the satisfaction.
I say this as someone got bullied often, and even went as far as planning the unthinkable due to it. Life is far too short to let assholes get under your skin.
One thing I will say is that emotional can cloud judgement. Its fine to say all that, and there is certainly allot of merit in learning to push on and not let strangers on the internet weigh you down, but bullying and the like can knock you down. It can cause you to irrationally believe whatever crap they are saying, or fly into rages of denial. Its that same for all sides. Plus for a number of different reasons, not everyone will be able to have such strong defences. As someone who has suffered alot with their mental health I feel I can say its not always easy to put such things into practise even if you have said tools. We cannot judge everyone by our own strengths or weaknesses. Here is a million dollar question, cause I do not understand this. Plus whilst I get its not what you mean, such approaches do have an air of ‘Blame the victim’ to it. There are those who will be defeated by simply ignoring them for sure (The old ‘Do not feed the trolls’ mofit has much value) letting such toxic behaviour fester without challenge can be worse.
The thing is we have no control over the actions of others, I get what you are saying but by no means will be will live in a world where we will be able to end bullying or force others to be kind to one another. I honestly do think we are causing more harm in the long run trying promote this idea that people have a moral obligation to be kind and understanding to all people around them. This will never happen in my opinion. It is not passing judgment, more so it is just fact, we as people can only control our own behavior end of story. This idea that people have to accept us for who we are is a fools errand. Should be kind and understanding? Yes, are people kind and understanding far from it. We are selfish creatures by nature our own personally enjoyment and wellbeing will always be in the forefront. One thing I will say is that emotional can cloud judgement. Do not give an outlet that can provide catharsis for the troll is the best thing you can do, denying the emotional response they seek is how you defeat a troll, bully, over the internet. Once you validate their existence and allow them to live rent free in your own mind you have already lost.

internet (especially memes) have changed over the years. it's not just ffxiv, it's the whole internet
The funny thing is that people are still very rude and hostile, it's just done behind peoples backs.
After all, why would you make yourself look bad by being an asshole in public and publicly victimize someone at the same time(which would make others pity them), when you can easily do so privately in your non-public chats, while also harassing the person in more subtle, passive aggressive ways?
Everyone wants to be in the right when they appear before the court of public opinion, and you can't be in the right when you act like that. So people do it out of sight.

That's because being accountable for ones on actions makes one an adult. We can't have that here apparently! Here is a million dollar question, cause I do not understand this. PS. I'm sorry things were rough and I hope things are going better now.
I have read threads, twitter posts, reddit posts etc where even if a person is doing horribly (like actual horrible not they died once but as in they cant heal, cant tank or they are maybe spamming one button) and that us as players should be willing to says its fine and carry them through it even if it makes a dungeons take an hour or two instead of fifteen - twenty minutes. If you dont you are a bad player and community member. The community is really strange sometimes. Maybe some people dont have an hour, maybe they have just wanted to do a quick roulette before their team raid etc but according to some people if you queued you should be willing to stay the whole two hours without leaving. Instead of the problem person acknowledging they are struggling and maybe need more practice or need help from people who are willing to go alot slower that arent random in df. I will never agree with this as my time is my own and if I dont feel like we can beat the fight or do a simple dungeon I have the right to leave at any moment. They can replace people who leave or requeue.
At level 50+ you should know the basic of your role,at least have stuff close to your level. ( not 20. Not glam gear.) Even poetic stuff is pretty good and can last you the whole 10 levels between each set. Though stormblood dungeon and shadowbringers are a bit rougher and I’d suggest getting a bit more geared.
