We would like to apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We would ask of you to please attempt the following to see if these suggestions can help with the issue you are experiencing.

- Did you notice this issue occurring after the update of the game as well as possibly after the update of the graphics drivers? We may also try the suggestion of your fellow adventurer of possibly rolling back 1 version to test if the error still persists.
- Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
- Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Discord, Steam, Nvidia, etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
- Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated. You may also try using the Windows sfc /scannow command in a command prompt window to check for errors.
- We can also suggest a full uninstall of the game. This will include clearing the Final Fantasy XIV folder that is located in the My Games folder. The location would be My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy - A Realm Reborn (This folder will contain settings such as UI Settings, Macros & Screenshots. You may delete this folder or rename it and move it to a different location should you still wish to copy settings or save the screenshots in question)
