100% this should have been implemented when they decided to not allow mounts in the first place.
It's super cool to be in Idyllshire and see all the cool mounts other players have inside the city and to be able to travel around on your mount in a city is awesome!!!

Player
I can kinda see why they don't allow mounts in the cities, as some other players are complaining about lag already inside the major cities. Def would not make things better in that regard lmao
Toggle sprint would work just fine though![]()
I dont really see a downside in adding this. Make the change!
Sure why not, SWTOR has a similar toggle too: it turns off when in combat and automatically turns on when you're out. Works in dungeons as well.
It's still slower than a mount, but useful enough to be used anytime you can't or don't want to use a mount.
I only see benefits here and PVP has already a similar toggle sprint. Just make it work elsewhere and you're good to go.

The problem with making it a toggle outside of PvP is how many fights are designed around players having access to it. There would need to be two sprints; a toggle that remains active permanently outside of combat, and short duration, short cooldown burst of speed that works in combat.
Maybe we want the zoomies in dungeons and raids! Hell it would be a plus for healers so maybe people would not get hit by aoes if they arent paying attention till the last second :joy:The problem with making it a toggle outside of PvP is how many fights are designed around players having access to it. Isnt there tons of sprints atm so nothing new will be made? Normal, pvp and island sanctuary. The bozja one that makes you move faster. More im probably forgetting. We just want the toggle one though. It would be a big QoL for everyone to not run for a little then do the honey jog
