I had no intention of interacting with the latest custom delivery NPC, only to have it reported to me that the elusive male Viis of the First has finally appeared. Only for instead of the cool forest warriors who sometimes venture forth to find their own way in the world...the dude herds sheep. Seriously?

Voeburt was also a kingdom of the First’s equivalent of Au Ra and Roegadyn. Would it not have been more appropriate for something akin to the Myths femroe to show up there instead of embarrassing male Viera further than they already have been with the Starlight Celebration quests?

Curious how Lyna gets to go be a Guard Captain whereas all Anden gets to be is a sheep farmer. Oh but he can come back to the woods whenever because Viera laws just don’t matter anymore.

May have been best to warn in the title that there may be spoilers for the delivery quest, just saying.

Anyway, I cannot comment much as I have not finished his quest, but stereotypes are there to be bent and broke. It would be boring of we could predict ever aspect of a characters trait just by their race and culture alone. Must ever Laffa be a pervert obsessed with money? Every Ro a axe-wielding warrior with one and a half braincells? Besides, can’t a farming Viis still provide for their clan via gathering resources or making Gil? Must they always be edgy nomadic warriors? The very fact that our WoL can be a male Viera (Who seemingly has no forced obligations to be apart of a clan) and be anything from Eorza’s best chef, healer or fisherman shows that not everything is so black and white, nor should it be.

As someone who has relatives been sheep farmers. I feel insulted.
So basically, if you're a male Viera then you can't be a sheep farmer. Meat? Wool? Who needs those! Those are for the weak and lesser races! Be the Amazonian warrior!

Yes? I would've preferred for the first male Viera npcs we saw in game to be warriors rather than Uber Eats drivers and sheep farmers.

To be honest I do follow the lore as I always stay hidden at the fc house or my plot. I only venture out for GC seals or MSQ.
