They performed the ritual in a thread that had already devolved into people (the very people they were defending, ironically) hurling open insults at others. Perhaps all the hostility had already drawn the attention of forum management, or perhaps this individual was simply unfortunate. Whatever the cause was, the ritual worked - they were at the very least suspended, and I've yet to see another post from them to this day.
