Merge Dynamis Into Other DC's

Uhhhh no thanks. Y'all can leave if you want, but come 7.0, we'll need Dynamis open.

The entire point of making a new DC was to lighten the load. Do you not remember EW launch? I'd prefer not to have to wait hours upon hours to MAYBE get to log in again, thanks.

I'm not saying get rid of Dynamis all together, just release it with the new Xpac, or shortly before so it actually has some sort of chance to thrive. Right now we're expected to wait it out a year or two? All the current FC's wont last that long, and more people will leave as the months go on. (people literally are dropping their mediums and larges to leave. housing isnt enough to keep players here.) The original delay on Dynamis getting released didnt help, ontop of them making new housing wards and holding them for us, resulted in more players leaving. They've made poor choices on how they went about releasing this DC And its now suffering.

I think I have right to be slightly upset over the fact there are things they couldve done differently, or planned ahead to not have this happen. /shrug

You have the right to be upset, but my experience is not the same as yours. They need these established early, yes, a year or so out, so that when it's time for 7.0 everything is ready to go. Delaying it until 7.0 is a death trap that would lead to the same crap we experienced with 6.0.

Doomposting isn't going to help anything either. There are still FCs with new ones being asked for people to help form them daily on the PF. Hell, on Marilith there are actually starting to be more actual players than bots. I understand that people are disappointed but did you honestly expect it to be jam packed to the extent of the other DCs after a couple months? Thar was wishful thinking tbh.

Also glad the people that are staying will have a chance to get an upgrade on their house.

While I agree with your overall sentiment. Comparing Dynamis to Crystal is, quite frankly, laughable. Every single server on Crystal had an established amount of players; Balmung being the largest server in the entire game. Neither the queues nor population was even remotely close to what Dynamis has been experiencing. Only high end raiding really suffered because so many of them transferred back to Aether.

To be fair, launching closer to 7.0 wouldn't really change things once the initial expansion hype died down. Unlike Crystal before it where they moved existing servers from Aether and Primal to help establish a population, Dynamis has to start with quite literally nothing.

Alternative, merge the other servers into dynamis

I suspect the reason they didn't was due to the very poor reception they received at NA fanfest following the announcement of Crystal. They were actually booed, though part of that also came from Blue Mage being a limited job. Nevertheless, it did not go over well. As noted above, a good portion of the raid scene immediately transferred right back to Aether. With DC travel existing nowadays it may soften the blow but I doubt they want to risk the backlash.

Its better that the DC is there now rather than release it come next expansion. It needs time to grow, and that doesnt happen overnight.

Not being toxic, just stating a fact. It's going to take Dynamis time to grow. Who knew? Oh that's right anyone with critical thing skills
