Square Enix, Stop Ignoring Players distant from datacenters in FFXIV

Hey guys,

I'm really frustrated with Square Enix and their neglect towards players who are distant from the data centers. It's making it impossible for us to complete the new ultimate challenges in Final Fantasy XIV. And this is going on for as long as the game exists.

We play with intense lag, it completely impairs our ability to compete in these trials. It's just not fair that players who are closer to the data centers get to have an advantage over us.

And let's be real, this is one of the main reasons why some players resort to using mods and hacks. The lag makes it so it's impossible to compete otherwise. It's not fair for such a large community, such as it exists in South America and several other places, who are just as passionate about the game as anyone else. We deserve to have an equal playing field and be able to complete these challenges without this issue.

It is fairly safe to assume that this benefits not only current players but will impact attracting new others too. So, Squeenix, how about place some other data centers and give us a fair shot at these trials, how about treat your main game as it should be treated?

What? I was able to create an account and buy the game just fine in Brazil through Steam, in fact Steam even offers a fixed rate for subscription for Brazilian players, that ends up being substantially cheaper than buying it directly through the Mog Station, even if you want to avoid Steam for whatever reason, you just need a credit card, none of what you are saying has any basis on reality.

No you dont have to use vpn nor fake info. You can use your own country information, as long as you know your zip code.

Even if was, that information is wrong. At least here in Brazil you can buy from Steam store or directly from SE store the digital version. I play this game since ARR and I bought straight from SE and didn't fake my address or use VPN.

Yeah, in this one way being able to buy from Steam is awesome.
