I don't really mind them being...colorful with the quest dialogue as long the original intent and information is still being conveyed, which sadly isn't the case everywhere in the English locaization.

I thought OP quit
/100000000000000As far as I’m concerned this was the last straw for me when it comes to the state of Endwalker content. All I wanted was a decent deep dungeon after going so long with hardly a reason to log into this game regularly.
And instead we’re getting more Allagan nonsense. Well done SE. Really subverted my expectations in the worst way possible at every turn, destroying my confidence in the game bit by bit with each patch.
Merry Christmas indee-oh wait silly me the patch doesn’t come out until January. And this, not until some months later. My patience is well and truly exhausted by now, now that it’s clear Endwalker can’t make a right turn at best or is deliberately designed to spite me at worst.
And so it ends in unceremonious silence.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
Really? It's age appropriate stop being a stick in the mud. The Simpsons has more innuendos than this bloody game lolUnder normal circumstances event quest text doesn't really catch my attention, but in this case the following quest text in the EN localization was broadcasted on twitter by an account that aggregates FFXIV/RPG news, one often sponsored by SE itself besides, which I will link below:
https://twitter.com/aitaikimochi/sta...VkD1b5Gjqo2obQ
I feel like I shouldn't have to point out how obviously on the nose these lines of dialogue were and that I struggle to understand why they made it into the game...when such text was often criticized as being too much when it came from the previous EN localization team. As was the case for several other notable examples from EW's msq text which led to differences in understanding the story, I feel like this was a step too far in terms "creativity."
I simply would like for there to be more consistency between the different languages, and perhaps less direct references to...the above.
Thank you.
Now this is the real action I want to see in my Final Fantasy XIV.
