Valentoine event was great! But the rewards contradict the message

Then I guess there is no consistency in how the events have been done since 2.0 or even prior? Idk man I don't think they have time for a minor event to have something extravagant like Halloween every year. I enjoy the stories, I hope you at least like the rewards!

All signs point to them intending to have had these unlocked for the event, so maybe there were scheduling difficulties. It doesn't make sense for them to have been locked deliberately, unless there's severe miscommunication between the people who planned the quest and who planned the gear.

The message is not contradicted. If you've been paying attention long enough, you'll see they've been catching up on unlocking many items from past events. I don't think they could have made it any clearer that they see and hear the desires of players with regard to gendered clothing. You can even buy the other gender's outfit for when they get around to unlocking it.

What gets me is that if they hadn't gender-locked the outfits, they could have had Astrid wear the masculine outfit after the story blurb, instead of just swap back into the Best Man's outfit which, while nice, is super old, I am sure she would look great in it, an adorable little princely princess.

Y'all really looking for a fight. The way people carry on, I don't think any of this unlocking was deserved and they wasted their time on this project. Folks continue to be miserable and not see what's in front of them. Touch grass and maybe feel the loving touch of another.
