The crowd control is the only thing that kept veterans in check so new or weak players can play this PvP tho.The problem is here is the amount of crowd control that in a match against 48 people is OUT of control. I literally have being imped like 4 times in a row without being able to purify, heal or wathever myself, and AT THE SAME TIME, binded, slowed etc.
This should not be possible.
I certainly would say yes to have original DR system coming back, but do you realize you are going to see a lot of people crying tear flow into a reiver?
This is the Random Crits argument from TF2 all over again where a random crit might once in a blue moon kill a vet, but that vet will abuse the system much harder in turn. In FL, a veteran player in your average full rando game will rarely be in a position where they're going to be stunlocked into a death, as they'll play smart, get Battlehigh 5, and keep mowing people down. A new player will be much more likely to be out of position, hauled into the enemy zerg, and stunlocked, leaving them with no battlehigh, while the veterans can now continue to bully them due to the damage and healing discrepancy.
How do you come even remotely close to a conclusion like that? Veterans are veterans because they know how to play, know how to utilize CC's and know how and when to break them and how to avoid them. Saying they keep veterans in check is a weird thought process to have.

I reach my conclusion based on personal experience on Primal
I am mostly solo on the frontline since Frontline exist (still able to do it post 6.1) and I can tell who is paying attention to DR and who is not prioir to 6.1
I judge my opponent based on their reaction and actual performance instead of the fake numbers on the scoreboard.
My definition of veterans are those skilled is CD management, burst, and situation awareness (buff, debuff, and DR,etc)
They don't need to be high on the scorebord, but these people are cores of a successful random frontline team.
These people are in trouble at 6.1 because now players is able to spend CC without worry about DR.
I do still beleived 6.1 did reduce the skill gap between veterans and normal players due to non-exist of DR.
That is just blatantly false lol.I reach my conclusion based on personal experience on Primal
