Hi!
I lose all the time, it's because of my team members *obviously*.
Is it because matchmaking's working here, assigning a lot of very inexperienced players to my team because they need to balance my own skill level out?

Most likely lose because you died/are dying too often. The less you die, the more chances you have to use your limit break to change the trajectory of the game.
This is a loaded statement but can be broken down as such;
1. Not only do you need to stay alove, but you need to force your enemies to waste their highest damaging attacks, and big cooldowns, at the same time. Its not enough to just sit in the back row, press buttons and run away at any sign of danger. Find a playstyle that allows you to stay alive and accomplish the above.
2. Using your limit break to change the trajectory of the game. A limit break used without the coordination of your team, or not used with a purpose other than "umma kill em" is a wasted limit. For example, as an AST, if you have LB ready but your BRD has LB at 90%, it would be your advantage to hold your LB until the BRD pops their LB which increases attack speed of the party. Now you can have increased attack speed AND boosted damage done/less recieved at the same time which has a higher chance of turning the game in your favor.
Lets say you are an MCH and the enemy team has a SCH. Both jobs limit is charged in 90 seconds. If the SCH presses limit first, they can basically negate your entire teams burst. Try to stay alive so that you get your limit first, and make sure you use it to 1-shot the SCH every time he gets ready to use his limit to make him dead weight on the enemy team at every team fight.
Anyway, I know this was a troll post but maybe someone finds this useful lol.
Tl;dr brainless play gets brainless results
No. It's because you suck. End of story. Maybe start looking at the scoreboard more, champ. Have some self awareness.
edit: Starting to believe this is a troll post too. Haha! Ya got me.

Well i certainly lived under the illusion one could still carry. It was possible once in 3.x but now you are very dependand on what people you get in your Team.
80-90% of my Games i have most damage or Healing, 0 deaths or very few. Some classes can carry in specific situations but its very limited.
(Yes i attempted to take OP seriously but im insane anyway so ignore me)

Carrying is pretty easy up until you reach plat and start running into high plat/diamond players where a lot of old crystal players are stuck at because the queues are so long. I've more or less stopped playing ranked and stuck with unranked because queues are over 30 minutes now. Sucks to because I don't really see the point in pvping if you're not playing ranked but I didn't pvp week 1 of the season so I missed the train of diamonds queuing back to crystal before they all stopped queuing again because this dumb game doesn't have rank decay.Well i certainly lived under the illusion one could still carry. @OP
This game doesn't really have matchmaking. It just matches you based on a range of your current tier. If you can't carry you're gonna be stuck where you are at. Such is the life of team based games where you're constantly playing with randoms.
Looks like something that the League community would do...blame others, ff, and queue again *shrugs*
Blaming others constantly for all woes makes no sense, especially when one is at fault as well (and I do feel this mode is extremely obscure on what people can do better until they figure it out on their own, which leans into very heavy dunning kruger especially from lower leagues that show up for the first time in plat+).
However what makes or breaks a lot of games (the usual lopsided ones) is damage application + target focus/securization, and pressure versus ability to defend properly and spread damage taken. You're one person out of 5, which means even if you carry, if a single one of them does the opposite, it totally negates your impact. And that's without speaking about the 3 other members. Obviously, it can swing both ways, and ultimately if you want to statistically get into a median, you need a lot of games played for a correct sample, that's pretty much it.
So enjoy the coin toss
How is anyone falling for this bait, wtf.
Give me more Keeper of the Moon rep!
