I have an issue with my ears being oversensitive, and usually this is not a problem when playing FFXIV, as I've my audio settings somewhat low.
Unfortunately Medica 2 exists.

It has a really sharp sound effect that pierces through most sounds in this game. Normally this is not an issue, the problem is that too many white mages use it as a crutch for handling every injury no matter how minor, sometimes even using it when nobody is taking damage, or just spamming it period.

So I resorted to making macros for turning off/on player sound effects for party members, but it does not work for Medica 2. There are some other player made effects that also ignore this setting, namely Battle Voice, Sacred Soil and Asylum.
However these are cooldown based abilities, cannot be spammed and have softer sounds.

I hope this will be changed, because I don't want to have to resort to playing ffxiv muted because of 1 spell.

Date & Time: Every time I am in a party with a player who uses Medica 2
Frequency: Every time Medica 2 is cast
Monster name: ...
Class/Level: White Mage / level 50 and up
Party or solo: Party
Steps:
1. Queue for a duty (roulette or anything)
2. One or more healers in your party is a white mage
3. They cast Medica 2
4. Activate /soundeffectsparty 0
5. White mage casts Medica 2 again
6. Medica 2 sound effect still heard
7. Activate /soundeffects 0 to avoid hearing Medica 2, but now the game is very quiet and might as well be considered muted
