Can we please stop treating WoW like the garbage bin for unsavory folks like them? We don't want them over there either. How about they just don't infest any MMO community?

But yeah, you're right. Point is, the idea that FF14 is a "great community" is looooong gone. The game has grown, there are a lot more people in here, and the environment is definitely different than what we had before. And the issue is we're super passive aggressive.

WoW may be more aggressive, but that at least stops and people can have a decent discussion. However, just like FF14, people still do very much go nuts over whatever suggestion and clamp down on discussion completely.

Either way? This thread has long since stopped being about a meaningful discussion and it's just a place for what seems to be one guy having a hissy fit that people aren't as restricted as he is.

Naguura, a very prominent and popular WoW streamer, came over to FFXIV with the whole limit max raid thing. She wound up sticking around for a while even going an all girls UwU run but ultimately quit because she kept getting harassed about skipping the story. This was after pointing out that she initially came over to try out Savage with Max, thus she didn't have time to be apart of his project if she went through four expansions worth of story. Additionally, she repeatedly said she genuinely wanted to try the MSQ but would prefer doing it on EU as she's an EU streamer.

Needless to say that never happened because a subset of this community cannot stop clutching their pearls if you so much as mention you don't care about the story or it isn't a priority for you.

You know very well that in WoW, people generally don't care which race you're playing. At worst, they care about Alliance vs Horde and that's about it. They either hate all other races or they genuinely don't care.

People here look at a lion or a rabbit and instantly act like it single-handedly ruined their game.

The troll literally said a while back that it's sticking with WoW because at least there "mods are allowed and not against ToS even though they should be". The troll was the one comparing 14 to WoW, not the person you replied to, who was telling it if it loves WoW so much to just stay there.
