Wanting fair play is fine. I think it's reasonable to expect people to participate in official competitions (I know World First isn't "official official" but it's still recognized by Yoshi-P) without the use of add-ons. If people are caught using them in that capacity, swing the ban hammer.
But you do realize by reporting 7 people for every parse you find, you're ultimately sending out 6 false reports at the same time and will get smacked by Square yourself eventually for abusing the report function. Odds are the people you report won't even see a GM with how little they do about situations until they escalate/are mass reported by multiple people (like I said, they'd probably come after you for wasting their time and false reporting in mass amounts first).

There's nothing wrong with numbers, we literally went through all of our educations looking at numbers in Math. They're not going to hurt you. The problem is people:
- parsing in low level dungeons because why (ya'll concern me)
- using parses as a way to shame/verbally harass people (there isn't an excuse for this and people who do this should face consequences)
If a group wants to gatekeep its members to those who can hit 90+, they're allowed to do that and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. It's the same as picking people to join your team like you would on any sport team or in-school activity (where you get the option). There's nothing wrong with having expectations of how your members should be performing and picking people who fit the expectations you have.
There are plenty of groups, however, that literally could care less about how well you can parse and just want people who will show up and stay regardless of wipes. You just gotta find a group that works for you.

Plugins though ultimately aren't going anywhere as Square has started to integrate them into the game. I highly doubt we'll ever get an in-game parser but you really should be thanking the people who are making these plugins (like the buff timers we recently got in the party list) because it's helping to enhance the vanilla game for both PC & console users.
