Would you be opposed to SE implementing a program to scan for addons/parsers?

The day SE does this will not only kill raiding, but any meaningful combat content. I refuse to play a game where I can't even see if I'm doing well or bad. I like self-improvement, and the devs haven't added anything that would allow me to see so. And SSS is a practice dummy not a tool for improvement.

Also adding invasive programs like this is pretty much cancer for everything on your PC. You will affect anything you do. Take a lot at Valorant's anti-cheat program, it'll detect things and prevent them when it's not even for Valorant.

So no thank you, I would drop my sub the instant this happens and this is not because "I wanna mod, I wanna cheat, blah blah." Anti-cheat that scans your PC everytime you wanna play slows down your PC, gives more errors that you don't even know how to fix. It's way more trouble than it's worth.

If you actually become familiar with your job instead of parses, you can see how close you are to the limit by how fluent your rotation is. It's all based on ilvl beyond that, so you're not actually increasing in skill. Just perceived skill because the number is going up with your gear upgrades.

Parses do not really give you good information. Knowing what you are doing does. If you need external metrics to measure your performance, maybe you should just practice your rotation better.
