But if you pull up to a road block and have nothing to hide you give them your info and show you are not drunk driving right?? Or do you immediately try to turn around and find a way around just for a cop to pull you over anyway??. You probably do the 1st one cuz you have nothing to hide and while a very small inconvenience you just go through..same with anticheat except 99.9% of the time it's not even noticable it's their

That's not a great analogy at all.

Roadblocks are limited to checking ID, plates and insurance. They are only allowed to request a breathalyzer or to check your vehicle if there is a cause to do so.

In FFXIV, checking ID, plates and insurance is akin to your login information and your CC to pay for the service. That's the roadblock. Anything past that is an invasion of privacy. Maybe they should have these inspections (your breathalyzer or car inspections) for anyone that has been banned in the past.

We don't live in a communist state where we don't have these rights. Why give them up so freely? Besides, as has been noted, these measures will mostly effect players that are playing legitimately. Cheaters will find a way around them.

Essentially, your "roadblock" is just the road that legit players travel on. Cheaters will just drive around the roadblock on an alternative route, leaving the rest of us to deal with the inconvenience.
