The second SE starts scanning my PC with weird invasive rootkit stuff is the second I get over any remaining FFXIV habit that I have left.

Yet you are comfortable installing "free" software add ons, as if there is no worry about viruses or rootkits there. Ah the third party crowd, this game may as well be dead now.
Almost all plugins are open source, their code is readily available on github. You can go read it for yourself, If they shipped with a virus then everyone would know. If you have 0 idea of what you're talking about, you probably should not.
If anything I'd go so far as to say that they're safer to run than the game itself, since the game is not open-source, you have no idea what SE could be running in the background.

whats the matter, afraid of getting busted? I for one will do that if SE made it mandatory!!! separates garbage from the real skill players
So fresh it'll smack yo momma!!!
Make it easy.. throw in an anticheat and don't even announce it and see who gets busted, if they are clean no problem, if not buh bye...just end these silly childish word games they play on the forums to justify there actions...I personally don't care about privacy or your performance if it means everyone is on the same level...at this point because it goes to show you cannot be trusted, so why should everyone else suffer because of a small % of players who cheat and admit it on here with BS psyop word games be given any leeway they also bank on you screaming then 5 mins. later to walk away as if nothing happened and it's back to business as usual for them while everyone else has more rules to adhere to...
So fresh it'll smack yo momma!!!
