The reality is that cheating is widespread in this game, so much that people feel entitled to defend breaking ToS on the official forums openly.

I can guarantee you that's not true. You won't believe me and call me a cheater, ask for me to get banned because I "defend breaking ToS" or whatever, and then I'll ask you who is worse for the community : people that parse and feel good about themselves for being 80 or 90%+ without add-ons (and I do believe those are the majority, at least among those I know), or people that go witch-hunting based on nothing other than "this guy has a big dps".

Until 75%, it's skill but lack of gear and team synergy. From 75-90%, it's good gear and lack of team synergy, and above that, it's the combination of these. I personally haven't got any 99+%, but I do know raiders that have those and never used anything but parsers. But those are commited and try-harding people, and it's ok to not be one of those.

Did you know, one person running ACT and uploading it uploads it for the WHOLE PARTY? The seven other people don't even have to run it themselves. Or are you going to accuse the other seven of cheating because someone else did it for them, even if it was some random player they got grouped with LOL

Yep. Definitely called Tetris unfair when I was a kid. Or some levels on Mario. I think I grew out of it when I reached my teens, though.

Wow, TIL a friend of mine who used to be one of the top DRG's in the US without mods is definitely a cheater because you said so. I'd really like to know where you're pulling your baseless accusations that "everyone" above some number you pulled out of your ass is cheating. Show me proof, right now, or you're just coming up with baseless, emotionally driven crap.

Also, once again, this isn't black and white, YoshiP has stated there are gray areas with mods.
