Would you be opposed to SE implementing a program to scan for addons/parsers?

Then make it official, no complain after that, oh wait what about all the cheaters using position mods, aoe's, zoom, etc.
Yeah, third party mods/ addons are forbidden and against tos until implemented as part of the main game.

AFAIR they will implement some of the things, that are now only available as a mod.

And i am active in many discords. And most mods, i have seen on screenshots are different hairstyles, clothes, faces, eyes, tatoos and ... ummm ... propotions. Ohh, and there are also some housing mods. Because the official housing UI seems to be very limited.

And the question is, when there is such a huge demand for it, why they do not build those things directly into the game?

And the answer is simple: because there are mods for it. And as long as there are mods, they do not have to do it and it saves their money. That is the reason why they are not after the mods really seriously. They ban the people only if the players cheated and there is an evidence for it on a video.

Its just snitches wanting to be snitches. Unless you get harrassed for not having addons in a party, people really shouldnt be "policing" it, unless that person or group of persons are actively being toxic about it.

My experience playing Lost Ark....is that anti-cheat don't work, there is AWAYS a work around, cat/mouse game. Ends up hurting the average player more.

it has varying success but its a arms race, eventually hackers get in and make mods then they gotta update anticheat for mods then they hack it again...the endless cycle of there will be addons for a bit then not.

And yes, I did clarify everything as best I could, explain what it is that I'm using and even some other stuff that is technically third party (and the ToS does NOT discriminate) but is otherwise seen as harmless, such as changing the contrast on your monitor.

I also ended with "If it turns out it's illegal, then yes, I will naturally stop using them"

Hopefully you'll get a reply, probably during the week I would assume, I don't think they ever took more than 3 days to reply to any of my questions, but noone of them were as complex as yours...
