Maybe....hear me out. The screen issue is part of the challenge you need to overcome?

I mean how much farther do we need to stretch with the games intended difficulty?

Then they need to restrict all players to the same screen aspect ratio if how much can be seen is considered an important part of the challenge.

Or, they could improve the zoom feature in game so those who don't own the ultra-wides have access to the same field of vision as those who do.

If they don't want something to be seen to make an encounter more challenging, they have the option to make it invisible. They do control what we get to see in a fight. If it is visible, then it is meant to be seen and having a faulty zoom that prevents players from seeing what has been made visible is a problem.
