Ok, hear me out. I get that some people don't want exclusive pvp rewards (armor/mounts) that only top 100 can get. How about making more armor and rewards using the wolf collar quartermaster. That way people can farm for different sets of armor/mounts if pvp is their thing. Each piece of armor can cost 15000-20000 trophy crystals (15/20 wolf collars) and mounts can cost more (maybe 40+ wolf collars). This way people that actually like the pvp in FFXIV have something to work towards, even if ranked is not their thing. Series rewards are nice but once you get past series level 30, there's nothing much else to incentivize people to play pvp.
