Completely disagree, the trailers are there to build up hype and get people interested in the game, same as with every game that has a trailer.

I feel the trailers are more to hype up the expansion to the existing playerbase rather than trying to get new people on board with the game.

Its possible. We did just get some hints at it in Lapis Manalis. I am crossing my fingers, thats for sure. It would also fit in with the theme 13th what with Calca and Brina originating from 4.

My money is on Reaper. That's because it's physical melee.

I also bet on NOT being any healer. Poster healers was always females. Artwork of healers are always about females. Being Derplander a male, I highly doubt S-E will surprise us that way.

3 out of 5 Melee DPS
1/2 out of 3 Physical Ranged DPS

0 out of 4 Healers
0 out of 4 Magic Ranged DPS
1 out of 11 new jobs (SAM...SCH/SMN/DRK/AST/MCH/RDM/GNB/DNC/SGE/RPR) and only DRK was used in a later expansion

So, if the new jobs are Physical Ranged DPS and/or Magic Ranged DPS, it's especially unlikely they'll get used. It's clear they're going for a cool/heroic/leader factor with the WoL (they even waited until DRK could be used in a "heroic" fashion). As for trying to rank the remaining jobs' odds based on this information:

GNB (Only tank left and hasn't had any time in the spotlight)
NIN (Shady and might not be the WoL's style, but could go well with a new Scouting job and it's the only 2.0 DoW left)
MCH (Flashy and the most "solo" job there is)
BRD (Not really a solo job, but he's already an Archer)
BLM (One of the cooler, more iconic jobs and already had some marketing, but not as heroic)
RPR (Also not as heroic and a bit saturated after Zenos/Zero but could capitalize on them)
BLU (Good opportunity if they go to the NW, even if they don't make it a full job)
RDM (Stylish, but saturated because of red Alphinaud in the EW trailer)
SMN (Are books not badass enough?)
DNC (Probably too "girly" for the WoL and not much of a solo job, even if it's not a mage)
WHM (Healer...but a popular and powerful one)
SGE (Stylish, but saturated because of blue Alphinaud in the EW trailer)
AST (Are cards not badass enough?)
SCH (Same as SMN but also Healer)

ninja, gunbreaker, or reaper. they will never put a caster or healer (aside from RDM maybe since it uses a sword, because they just aren't cool enough to grab the eye of normies) on the cover. mch is a no go for obvious reasons, and i'm not so sure bard or dancer would be very interesting.

I doubt it would ever be blm unless Y’shtola suddenly loses her plot armour due to unforeseen circumstances and instructs the WoL to carry out her dreams or something.
