Thread: suggestions in the forum

An answer from 10, or so, years ago was that feedback is bundled together across all the forums and then delivered to the appropriate departments. I have seen quite a few things that either make one a Nostradamus or they definitely do read feedback, but as noted there is no verbal confirmation. If they agree you might know quite a while from the feedback as they work on the pipeline with a scheduled plan, otherwise.... you don't know lol. More frustrating might be "why" you don't know, you won't know why.

More feedback would be nice. I imagine they don't like to respond as people will negatively address any non-positive response and will take any positive response, any, as a sort of promise. Doesn't change I'd still like more feedback though lol.

Until they Implement it or talk about it in patch notes, its very difficult to gauge if any Real Feedback is being noticed.
Plus with the amount of noise, trolling and infighting that goes on, one has to wonder the sanity and patience of people who have to sift through all of this text to find any real tangible and Constructive Feedback to actually improve the game.
And to address real issues.

They mentioned a few times before in the past that feedback is collected through the use of the like button. 150 - 250 likes or more to be considered overwhelming feedback. The forums, particularly NA. Just seems allergic to using the like button unless it's a meme or a got-ach come back post that insults somebody.

i do believe they gather more information from JP forums as they feel a bit more organized vs the multiple threads for the same thing and it feels each thread turns it into its own daytime soap opera in the english forums.

Long story short, they seem to know about the problems and issues, but only acknowledge the ones that they agree with. Healers has been getting ignored for years, Kaiten is really simple problem that would be fixed by just reverting changes, yet they still have too big of an ego to do it. It just seems like typical case of them thinking that they know better.

its nice that we get told they watch the forum... but do they? only the japanese one or also the english one? what about the german one?
do they read ALL the topics or just the ones with a lot of pages? is it influenced by likes? or is it the mods job to give those ideas to the next position? do they?
how many pages/likes does a topic need to get attention?

how about a quick post when the idea got read and noted by important people? would be great. itd kinda frustrating without any information.

They do watch the forums i think but something needs to get major traction to get looked at i think.

Like for example people came to the forums to cry and sob for bun boys. And now we have them even they said no to bun boys and female hrothgar before. So i guess it just needs threads with thousands and thousands of people posting and they maybe get influenced by that. But some trolls/normal people crying about what they don't like will most likely not get noticed at all by the devs.

For that feedback they rather look at the japanese part of the forums, you know where you can be sure it's a player who means what he writes and isn't just another Gaius/Titanmen alt.

You should approach it under the assumption that they pay no attention to anything we suggest at all. The other shoe is that someone on the dev team might have a "vision" about how such and such thing is supposed to work; they will never deviate from that even if it clashes with something that's been considered to be minimum QoL in the genre for 20+ years, or how miserable it makes players in practice.
