    Teleportation animations would be good as well. They may even make an excellent reward and be unlocked in a similar fashion to emotes. It would add a whole new category of rewards to the game.

    Let us select the animations for previous versions of skills, like machinist's non-Heated shots or white mage's Stone over Glare.

    Given all of the races are plantigrade humanoids that fundamentally differ only in that some of them have tails, I still think the ability to choose from animation sets during character creation (mark it as "Personality" or whatever) shouldn't be THAT difficult to implement? Would be a relatively low cost means to give everyone's character more individuality.

    What really grinds my gears is that the game DOES have different death animations, they put all those death animations in the Play Dead Emote.

    There is room for them to rework some animations, they even said they are looking to increase the memory allocation to animation which could allow for longer emotes for instance but likewise can extend into the main story etc. But this is just one aspect of it and could be applied to battle animations as well but time will tell I suppose.

    We actually had this in 1.0 and the ARR airship animations are a step down from 1.0’s.

    The ceruleum exhaust wheel thing in the middle of the airship used to spin along with the fluttering wings. Airships used to run on a schedule and you’d need to wait for one to show up to fly between cities. They intended us to be on the airship in the air as well like in FFXI and the boat ride in 1.0, but never got around to it. You used to also be able to see the airships coming into the dock from the city and even see it flying between the cities from the ground in different zones.

    When ARR came, they turned the boat and the airship into teleport buttons so I wouldn’t really expect them to enhance or fix these at all in the future.

    I think some general movement system animation. A lean on when you change directions running, or an about-face when you turn around. It should never interfere with actual movement; just an illusion of actually being present. 1.0 oddly had it and it was nice. Characters felt more part of the world rather than footage of someone on a treadmill.

    Would be nice to see some different death animtions. We already have unique /playdead animations for each race and gender.
