    7.0 Animations

    Can we maybe suggest different animations we'd like to see improved for 7.0?

    For me the big ones are the death animations and the travel animations.

    The death one should be obvious as its the same copy paste job across the board and it looks awful.

    The travel animations are probably forgotten, but if you take an airship to Limsa for example you and see your character board the ship and the actual airport being used and shown how it operates. This is not true of newer locations where it just turns black and plops you unceremoniously.

    It would also be cool to see the occasional airship leaving the port from the city and flying overhead as well as ships coming in and out of Limsa instead of the stale looking background items the cities have. Merchants coming in to Uldah, etc... There is SOME of that for sure, but definitely not enough.

    Could name a few in my head right now:
    • Climbing vertical ladder. Technically we have this in Castrum Lacus Litore but can we have this elsewhere, like housing? It'll also give them an opportunity to introduce a vertical ladder too.
    • Being able to choose left or right dominant hand for our WoL.
    • Being able to choose your idle stances. (i.e. I'd love to have [M]Miqo's 1st and 2nd idle pose plus [M]Highlander's 3rd & 4th idle pose.)

    I think it would be neat to have, maybe like 2 or 3 kind of death animations i.e. default + collapses forward + blown away (this one's always amuses me when people die to a knockback with their corpse just smoothly sliding xD).

    Alternatively if we want to have unique ones, some race's /playdead looks good enough for a death animation.

    More idle stances for all jobs that aren't gender locked.
    Including more Battle Stance & Victory Pose Animations

    Differentiate the Eating Food Animations, and even a new Food Buff animation.

    More Emotes, or Toggles for Emotes to make them Persistent and loop.
    As dumb as it is, Id love to use the Tomestone Emote on loop so it looks like Im scrolling through Memes while I wait for the Party Leader to explain the mechanics to new people in my Farm Group.

    Teleportation animations would be good as well. They may even make an excellent reward and be unlocked in a similar fashion to emotes. It would add a whole new category of rewards to the game.

    Let us select the animations for previous versions of skills, like machinist's non-Heated shots or white mage's Stone over Glare.

    Given all of the races are plantigrade humanoids that fundamentally differ only in that some of them have tails, I still think the ability to choose from animation sets during character creation (mark it as "Personality" or whatever) shouldn't be THAT difficult to implement? Would be a relatively low cost means to give everyone's character more individuality.

    What really grinds my gears is that the game DOES have different death animations, they put all those death animations in the Play Dead Emote.
