So...people who didn't play last year by their own choice (when the game was free even) are now complaining they missed out on certain items when you know...you coulda logged on at any time for free (at that point) and done it.

That's a bit rude and presumptuous.
I would be willing to bet there are also people who missed out by not having a computer that could run the game at the time (not missing out by choice), and are now asking and hoping (not complaining) for another chance at the items.
The items that were given to us just for fun. To enjoy ourselves. It would be nice if they could share in that fun/enjoyment.

I replied to the part where you were being rude and assuming everyone had a choice to play at the time. That was what I was replying to - your unnecessarily rude reply and assumptions.

During the festival last year I had 50 carpenter but my highest fighting class was around 15. I couldn't participate in the event because of the transition from 'everyone will be able to do everything derpaderp, to well.. yoshi-p's interpretation of the scenario.. so i'd like to add to the list of whiners and say that this is a little unfair.

wait was this for DoW/DoM only? I could have sworn others could do it as long as there where others around that could kill the mobs that spawned.
