Though I am perfectly okay with kimono and yukata. So I guess I hope they make it worth collecting unlike the reindeer suit. I never like that suit.... compared to the dream set

I would like bikini, I want them badly in fact. I couldn't play last year because I didn't have the money to spend on a space ship computer to run this thing. It's a little thoughtless to say that the game was readily available for everyone because it was free, when in actuality some people (like me) spent a good penny on a computer just to run it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who couldn't do that last year.

For the people saying "it's not f2p, we had to buy the game disk", well guess what? I too bought the game disk, back when SE released FFXIV. I even played the game for a month... But then real life issues made it so I couldn't play~ So while you say it wasn't f2p (there was no subscription) we are now all currently paying a monthly fee to play this game (p2p). We both made the same initial purchase of the game disk... But it shouldn't be added simply because I wasn't able to play during FFXIVs free period?

Again it's because YOU couldn't play during this time that you feel that SE needs to hand it to you. I'm sorry you had real life issue but that not SE's problem is it?

SE just mentioned they will not add any recipes for them so that's one thing (doesn't mean they aren't adding the reward in future) and this years main reward is already confirmed on JP side that will be the Yukata/Geta wear, if they add the swimsuit as side reward grats for you but if it doesn't come out don't cry about it and just wait for next year or year after that. Pretty sure they will bring back sometime, or like other said could be where you can get the standard silver, red, blue, green but not the gold like the egg cap that came back but not being able to get the chocobo egg cap.

I understand your points Rein, and I'm not here to gripe about anything you said. It just frustrates me, when SE changes the model they've used for so long. In XI, there wasn't anything that was miss-able as far as I can remember. And people being ecstatic that this might be the case just irritated me. I'm not upset about the chocobo helm, I wouldn't be upset about the gold model. What would upset me is if SE never released any of last years items again. The easter event was a perfect example as some put up before me. Heck, even XI's event history leads me to believe the standard rewards will be obtainable... but I dislike the attitude some people have where it's like they say too bad so sad but you lost out. Exclusive items are meant to be exclusive, but when every year in XI you could get the previous year's items... It makes one think that it is the same case in this game.

I was given the argument that it wasn't free to play... and I explained why I thought otherwise. I don't feel entitled to every event item SE released before I started playing again, I'm fine with some exclusives... But to say, nope your stuck with those ugly ass undergarments (IMO) simply because you missed an event that, with all assumptions on the table, should be repeatable is silly. I look forward to getting the yukata & geta... maybe the have a gold (or less tacky) "special" version for that. But next year, if I see new people in the game I'm going to tell them they can look forward to XYZ event and get Yukata's & Geta. And yes, they can QQ if they can't get the "special" version... but if the first summer event when 2.0 comes out, they can't get the Yukata's and Geta... I'd be pissed along with them. Simply because it's not like SE (using XI's event standards) to do something like that.

TL;DR I'm not bitching about the oh so precious "gold bikini", but the rest that should be obtainable.

Do we know if they will/won't be obtainable? No. But that's the whole reason this thread was made. Hopefully we'll get an answer.

While I was on a hiatus when the first round of swim suits came out, I can't say I want them. I think they look just terrible on all the races XD...

I just hope the yukata they are planning are real to the ankle yukata and not the horrid doublet recolours that were FFXI's ''yukata''

A new swimsuit design might be nice too, but I think that is asking too much for one event lol
