    I usually don\\'t comment on Ultimate Raids, but this one seemed different by far in difficulty and the use of dynamis.

    Nonetheless, I will comment.

    After watching the different phases on multiple streams, the medicine buffs I have not seen with the meal buffs. They are medicated buffs that add to the meal buffs and can be used for maximum effect at the right times with group aligned buffs.

    Grade 7 Tincture of Dexterity
    Grade 7 Tincture of Strength
    Grade 7 Tincture of Mind
    Grade 7 Tincture of Intelligence

    I believe used at the right time with group alignment of additional buffs, these medicines will be of great use….

    Those are some nice buffs.

    It would be a shame.

    If someone would eat them and put critical overflow instead.

    The sad thing, is that people have been asking for an increase to the Buff Cap since Delubrum Reginae Savage.
    And were completely ignored.

    Now the current Ultimate fight has the same issue, watch it get patched to cater to the 10% of people that run it.

    That's assuming that working with the buff cap isn't actually an intended mechanic here.

    On the other hand, that's worrisome. It literally means that we're looking at a future where certain classes simply need not apply at the high end (DNC and SGE having too many buffs to be safe has been mentioned. As a WHM main, I guess there's a small smile there in that it might mean WHM can seriously be considered over AST for once in a lifetime?), i.e., SE has finally decided to join Blizzard in the "bring the class, not the player" paradigm. Which seems contrary to how things have always supposed to have been in the past (note them bending over backwards to try and fix P8S where "bring the class" became a serious issue, including nerfing a currently relevant boss in that manner for the first time in what, ever?).

    On the other other hand, this is ultimately a JRPG superboss fight, and I've played enough JRPGs to know that obtuse gimmicks like this are practically de rigeur for superboss fights (although this seems more common in turn based games like Shin Megami Tensei and Persona; action-oriented ones, like 4D Freya in Star Ocean and even Yiazmat tend to be more straightforward) ...

    If this is intentional than SE is stupid as shit. I don't think it is or they are, but hey I've been proven wrong before.

    There is one buff even stronger thou. It's called having insider leak phase 5 mechanics.
