Abilities from Chocoback

Thanks for your feedback! We relayed your request about using abilities, such as those that let you survey the land while riding on a chocobo to the dev. team and they let us know that although they can’t make any promises, they are strongly looking into implementing this feature.

I wonder how big of a pain it would be to implement the DoL abilities from chocoback. Since the post was made ~8 months ago, I would assume that it is a tad bit more difficult than first thought.

All MMO's ive played have different speed mounts, 90%, 100%, 110% movement speed etc...

I would like to see a faster mount increase for every 5 or 10 levels once we get a level cap increase. Even our fastest mount is too slow imo... But with smaller zones and no more open world, maybe it won't be as bad. Running takes up 40% of my time in any FF game haha

The item team is actually looking into ways to allow players to execute the node finder abilities and check NPC Linkpearls while on chocoback. However this is still in the early planning phase and other teams need to be consulted with to verify whether or not it will be possible. We will be sure to let you know any developments when we find out.

I maintain that, due to the linkpeal's placement within the ear itself, the shellphone meets all requirements of a hands-free device and is thus perfectly safe for use while riding a chocobo.

It would be nice if calling my chocobo canceled my stealth. I hate having to turn off my stealth to whistle for Miser. Whistling should just cancel my stealth and I could be on my way.

Had an idea and would like to share. It would be interesting as a mini game for 2.0, to be able to form a team, with Players mounted on their chocobos and compete against another team, for example a medieval style soccer game. Grab the sheep and try reach the other side while other chocobos and their masters try to take the sheep back and so on. Add skills and such, arena, ladder, and of course, juicy items for the best teams. A championship would be cool as well, maybe even a cross server championship.
