Me, looking at my alts to hold all my extra crap.... I could probably take one of them through the base story again, it's one of my faves. Since I wasn't all that great when I played originally I recently finally beat Zilart and Promathia (knew the stories because what I had played resonated enough with me for me to make the connection of "man this is what Shadowbringers is" back in 2019; I had gotten near the end of both by then) and had a big cry over Promathia's end. I'm working on Aht Urgahn now and will get Wings and Adoulin after. I'm really diggin Adoulin's aesthetic.

Wings dragged on way too long for my tastes, which is a shame because it had some interesting moments. I am a big Arceila fan though and I did enjoy the Andoulin story, though the stop points because of needing to use imperaturs kinda got annoying at points. Rhapsodies of Vana'diel was definitely up there with CoP in story enjoyment and I honestly think the two could compete with FFXIV's story. I think this weekend I am gonna make a character and go ninja since I have never played one past the SJ requirement in the 75 era.

Haven't done much with FFXI since a bit after Moogle Kupo 't aut launched after starting it back in like 2002 when it first launched in Japan. Back then I ran 3 subs at a time triple boxing the game on different devices and made a ton of alts to hold all my junk... which then later turned into gil generators also with gardening even though I didn't need gil and would do stuff like buy my own auction for a cursed hauberk -1 for the player gil cap just so some things would have listings in the history XD

I remember the first time I was on the ferry to Selbina or Mhaura and pirates happened... I was like level 15, that was definitely a "oh god oh god stay in the corner and hope they don't see me OH GOD THEY OPENED THE DOOR I'M GONNA DIIIIIIIIE"

Or just running through to Jeuno as a wee babbin and being in the middle of bunch of mobs that could easily wreck me in two hits when "Invisible is about to wear off." happens...

I love it too, and it has a very special place in my heart. XI was my first MMO, and I have so many memories tied to it. I don't play it anymore, but I love to listen to the music from time to time to really hit those nostalgic strings. The music in that game really was something else and has no rival. Uematsu definitely has a signature you can hear in everything he works on. Zones I really enjoy listening to are Gustaberg, Ronfaure, Mhaura, Sanctuary of Zi'tah, and Altepa Desert.

Ty for that vid, I'll try that out during my next playthrough, just like people in the comment section on that vid said, game still surprises ya even after being on it awhile, truly Awesome game ahead of it's time.

I never played Dragons Dogma Online, was it as good as Dogma?, I'm hoping Dogma 2 will be just as good if not better.

From what I've heard, Dragon's Dogma Online was basically Dragon's Dogma, but enemies were very HP-spongy due to the nature of it being a MMO. Climbing on larger enemies wasn't something you could do naturally either from what I've heard. It had even crazier classes, like the Alchemist was basically a magical monk whose major thing was punching geometric shapes into enemies and manipulating the environment (like summoning rings that boosted jump distance). Classes were also restricted to one weapon type too, so Magick Archer for example lost their entire melee dagger skill tree in that game (and staff but who the hell would run staff Magick Archer).

Dragon's Dogma 2 will probably not have that 'one weapon type per class' restriction, because I imagine a lot of people in the community would riot if it does. Especially the Magick Archer mains.
