Where are all the ice skates, snowshoes, sleds, sleighs, snowmobiles and skies?

We have two icy and snowy regions in this game and yet we seem to be fairly lacking in the items listed in the thread title. Sure, one of them has only been that way for five years but the other one has always been like that. Even if we didn't get the items we still are lacking in stories about how Ishgard had to ban Ice Skating due to young noblemen were injuring themselves from trying to out do each other with trying to land quadruple axles or something. Or you know how Nero made an impromptu snowmobile race with Cid happen back during their university days. Cid didn't know it was a race due to just wanting to escape Nero's presence as he got tired of his crap for the day and just wanted to get to his destination faster in hopes he could loose Nero.

Where are my dog sled or even chocobo sled race stories? I wouldn't even care if the skates were the old timey strap ons made from wood. Heck where is the skiing or snowboarding GATE at the saucer? We have the animation already in the game thanks to the Stigma Dreamscape and the transition to the final arena in the newest 24man.

idk, maybe in the future, someone made a thread with "Fashion" mounts that they had for Roller Skates/Blades, Umbrella/Parasoul<intentional>, Skateboard<I'd add Surf/Snow into that, doesn't one of the devs like snow sports..,?> but in either case, maybe part of Garlean Restoration, oh wait the _____ have that covered.

Maybe the next expac after the Graphics update. would be nice to hear of stuff now.

A snowboarding gate would be insanely fun.

edit: iirc though the sliding animation has existed for a while as it's used in the Alexander raids on the conveyor belts.

I'm assuming anyone who posts on this thread goes out of their way to throw snowballs every time they're in an area with snow. Right?!?

I do throw snowballs at friends when we're in the areas or sometimes at the kids in Brume.

Oh true, but I guess for me it doesn't have the same feel as it does when you're sliding down a hill or over icy moonbeams.

It's one of the two examples I put in my OP. Anyway I just find it odd we don't have any of these as furnishings, mounts or stories about npcs using any of these things for traversal in the areas it would make sense. Like we know they didn't have cars right away in Garlemald until they came across ceruleum. So, kind of like how Reapers used to be the backbone of their military sleds could have been their preferred travel method. Or maybe they'd follow the Swiss and Norwegians when patrolling the Alps where they do it on ski's as sleds are too bulky. Basically where are the ice climbers and curling enthusiasts of XIV. Along with all the other cold weather things I've already brought up.

I'm surprise in Ishgard you don't see kids playing with sleds in the snow. They should add a bobsled event to the Gold Saucer.
