Pfft. A lot of people post on alts to not be tracked down and harassed in game. Low level does not equate to a troll or anything suspicious.

There’s also the people who go to someone’s profile to find anything about their character to discredit someone instead of addressing their comment.

I like people who go onto the lodestone to try to rip your argument apart. The amount of pettiness really shines thru each time.

Also, you could have like.. level 90 WHM and tack on level 30 archer on the forums. It happens because they don't expect loonies to actually take what their forum class says to heart provided they aren't saying abhorrently incorrect things.

People have been harassed in-game and threatened for liking certain characters or having negative opinions of features/writing. It's not rare at all, which is why anyone not shilling 24/7 for the game will usually pick alts.

I am 100000% agreeing lmao. I've had it happen at least two or three times. I don't disagree that it's rare, I'm just saying the person who goes through the lodestone to try to win arguments are incredibly petty, baseless people.

I haven't used a 3rd party tool on any of the new content, I just have eyes and a good memory. In the new EX there's set patterns on the puzzle for where to go so you don't need an addon telling you where to go, you can almost immediately tell where to stand. I know that before mario kart I'm hitting feint on the 3rd GCD for the tank buster then I'm immediately rotating north or south with my party for mario kart. I did Shiva EX synced with some sprouts the other day and I'm sure they thought I was using 3rd party tools because I would move pretty early. But did you know that on Shiva when she spins in the air she's telling you spread is coming? When she just floats a little more into the air she's using sword. When 4 ice puddles appear on cardinals or intercardinals you know the safe spots will be on the opposite so you can actually preposition in case you get spread? And did you know that any time 8 ice circles slowly appear CW or CCW around the room that you will need to get on her butt unless the floor turns into ice because she'll use bow right after?

So much of FF14 is very static and bosses have numerous tells to let you know what's coming and you don't need an addon to help you with this. And sometimes bosses even copy previous bosses. I went into the 24 man day 1 (keep in mind 3rd party tools were broken I couldn't have possibly used plugins) and without ever having done the first boss in my life, I knew what was coming because the boss' animations read in a way that was similar to Titania. If the boss does in I'm probably going to have to do out next. That very long cast bar is probably a beefy raid wide because they always are. The first tank buster will probably occur after the first cast you see. The boss just hit the left side of the arena so it's probably going to immediately hit the right side now. If you've played the game long enough, there's not too much the game can do to surprise you.

Smh you don't know that addons let you use "level 5 goldsmith" to raid in Aglaia :/ It's a big problem actually because you need the -soph purple scrip set to actually survive the raid-wides :/

To be fair, if the level 5 goldsmith in Aglaia is named "Godbert Manderville", he'd probably out-DPS half the group anyway. (And I don't mean "individually out-DPS half of the people in the instance", I mean "he would do more DPS individually than 50% of all the other people in there combined.")

Throw in a culinarian named Julyan Manderville, and you'll probably clear in record time.
