Nobody mentioning the health concerns with staying awake on a game, constantly clicking in a placard for 18+ hours straight with no chance for a break?
Houses should not be a reward for no-lifers compromising their health.

Well, I never bring that up bc that is the person's choice to do. No one forced that ppl to do that. As I said I don't think the old system was good but to act like this system is any better is silly. I personally don't like a system that completely relays on rng and takes all the power away from the players. At least when I got my first house in SB I worked for it by making a plan and waking up early the morning when the new ward was unlocked for private buyers. I was rewarded for that hard work. Unlike now where it doesn't matter how hard I try to move my house I'll most likely still lose bc rng wasn't in my favor. To me, that feels a whole lot worst. Yesterday I went all day feeling depressed and hopeless bc I lost the plot I bidded with the lowest amount of ppl. How is that any better for my health? My day ruin bc of rng.. I still feel depressed today.
Feeling depressed over pixels is not even in the same ballpark of sacrificing your health. And yes, the system forced people to do that as it made it the most effective and only way to guarantee a house, and if you didn't, you didn't get a house, unless you were insanely lucky and stumbled across a vacant plot at the right time, which is no different to tackling the lottery RNG.Well, I never bring that up bc that is the person's choice to do. Btw, you weren't rewarded for hard work, you were rewarded for having a decent connection to the server.
Lottery RNG might be annoying, but it is FAIR, everyone has the same chance.
With the housing demolition timer back on and running again, lotteries are back on a regular cycle. If you didn't win one this time, try again net week.

They are in the same ballpark. You telling me I shouldn't be depressed over pixels but I say ppl shouldn't have to sacrifice their health over the same pixels. At the end of the day, we talking about the same thing here. No one asked that ppl to stay up for hours on end for pixels and no one told me to be depressed over those pixels. Also, I was rewarded bc I made the plans and thought ahead of other ppl. A random number was just picked out of a pool. As I said before I never thought the placard system was good but I don't think the lottery system is any better. The only real solution to this is to give everyone a house and do away with the outdated ward system. Also, there wouldn't be a better chance for me to get a med or large next week or anytime soon going forward so I'm stuck in one of the worst housing areas in the game(the goblet). All my savings got two expac amounting to nothing just because I have bad luck. How is that f'ing fair to me? Now I have a house I don't even feel like working with bc I hate the area it's in and the ward is completely died just like so many wards in this game. You work hard for something for years and dream about getting it just for an rng system just to tell you "You not lucky this time sorry better luck next time" You would be upset and depressed also. As I said this housing system ISNT better than placards. They both trash systems but one makes feelbad bc its completely up to a compute to pick your number.Feeling depressed over pixels is not even in the same ballpark of sacrificing your health. I entered the lottery for an Ishgard house when they were first released, because I've been wanting a house in Ishgard for years, and lost a three-way lottery against 2 other bidders.
Oh, damn, nevermind, try again next week.
Now I have an Ishgard house.
Just convert your "hours of clicking" energy into patience. The lottery happens every 9 days. If you're getting 1 other bidder every time, your 50/50 chance is going to turn into a win soon enough.

IM SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU..... Glad you have some damn luck. I don't... I never have luck. Plus I hight doubt there be a med or small open next week or going forward anywhere so I shit out of luck till they add more wards. Even then I mostly lose so why even try tbh. Im tired of talk to you. So have a bless day.No?

"If at first you don't succeed... give up and cry and complain about life being unfair."
I don't disagree with you entirely, but it's a little odd to say just try again next week and "if you're getting one other bidder every time". Supply is going to dry up, there will inherently be more bidders on each available house each round because less houses will be available. It just gets harder as time goes on just due to supply being nowhere near the demand. No?

Not now that housing demolition is back on.I don't disagree with you entirely, but it's a little odd to say just try again next week and "if you're getting one other bidder every time". A load of houses were freed up a couple weeks earlier as well due to the first round of demolition timers expiring.
There are now 5 free plots in my ward alone, either through demolition or relocation, which will be up for bidding in a couple of days.
Still beats having to be online at all times spamming placard signs while I could actually play the game. Or have to schedule my free time to be able to rush onto the servers the moment they are online again - If you are not stuck in a queue or SE has to delay (or even complete early) the server maintenance, throwing your plan out of the window. You work hard for something for years and dream about getting it just for an rng system just to tell you "You not lucky this time sorry better luck next time" You would be upset and depressed also. Instead they got multiple days time to pick a plot they like to have and enter the lottery with just a few clicks. And then go back enjoying the game.
If they win, nice. If not, better luck next time. All relaxed and no ridiculous rushing.
