Oh you're just a bad faith troll, I should have known...[no one reasonable in its basic meaning would see you going against a QoL/Game Enhancing options as Enhancing the base/differing feelings of the races. only to needlessly detract or prevent the game from improving on many topics. which you can't deny as many here testify to your singular direction in other topics]
Can't even pretend to see things from any other perspective, just making statements like "no reasonable person would ever be against what I like".

You are severely off topic with your insecurities about your character. Frankly, none of the stuff should be locked and we should be choosing based on what we want, but that's not what this is about.Yes, I am playing it for the exclusive gear and hair styles. If everyone had access to it I would be stuck on an inferior character with no way to change other than paying 10 USD to SE for a fantasia, especially since my character's unique offerings would be available for other people and I would have no hats due to the racial limitations. And that's not a proposition I like.
Especially with your weird inferior race stuff. You've made your point about how you do not want more equal gender presentation. That's nice, many of us do. You're not really convincing anyone here by arguing about stuff not relevant to this thread.

They're correct, actually. You're making this about you and male viera when this is about ungenderlocking animations. You are not acknowledging their valid points and suggestions for alternative systems. The troll is you, buddy.

Getting this back on topic, it's really not asking much for the option to have more universal sits alongside the unique racial ones. And as someone else has pointed out, the system could be reworked to allow the choice of cposes that appear with the randomizer much like the minion and mount roulette (because I sure know I wouldn't want the feminine ones much like some people wouldn't want the masculine ones).
It doesn't have to encroach on what exists. It's just opening up the potential for more personal expression for both male and female characters.

I feel like the randomiser looks unnatural anyway. I always go with a fixed pose for my characters.
One thing I would really like is to be able to go straight to a pose, eg. if you typed "/cpose 3" you'd go straight into pose 3 rather than having to cycle through everything. It would make it a lot more viable to "strike a pose" spontaneously without looking like you're in a one-man game of Simon Says to get there.

All for this. Honestly the idea that animations are baked into the character in an RPG is just silly from the start. We can edit our appearances, why not our personalities and mannerisms?
This is the point. We don't really have the option to make our characters behave appropriately. What is being requested is a fix for that. It could include adding/removing cposes to the list. I don't know exactly what is easy or not for the devs, but swapping the entire emote list for a given character type seems to not require much work outside of perhaps slight resizing of emotes to fit characters. At the very least it would be much better to choose which emote/idle poses your character has than for them to be arbitrarily tied to how they look.
Absolutely. The emotes and the limitations that come with them now aren't proper, realistic, or really anything more than stereotypical at best. They don't even make sense within the lore of the game. Xaela are warriors aren't they? Then you really do not understand the frustration of playing a female character who doesn't act feminine at all. We go for the designs, don't know about the animation quirks, and then everything feels weird when you're someone who runs around in masculine clothing and armor but you sit like a cutesy anime character. And it's not the same to play as a male character because again, clothing doesn't fit right or some stuff is locked.
Exactly. There's nothing wrong with asking for more diversity in presentation for characters. This stuff should not be race or gender locked because it feels like turning personality into a racial trait, because each race and gender combo has a completely different feel to it than what you may be working with. I'm not bothered by the femra run, but I know some people would want it more feminine like female middies. Plenty of people like how cutesy femra are, but I know I would sure prefer the female highlander or roegadyn emotes.
So how about instead of trying to make everyone as miserable as you are by being kept from what they want, you ask for hats on viera? It just seems like you're making excuses if I'm honest. No one can have what they want because you don't have what you want. The lack of appropriate emotes for some of my characters is exactly the same as the lack of hats for your (and my) viera.Yes, I am playing it for the exclusive gear and hair styles. If everyone had access to it I would be stuck on an inferior character with no way to change other than paying 10 USD to SE for a fantasia, especially since my character's unique offerings would be available for other people and I would have no hats due to the racial limitations. And that's not a proposition I like.
I want to add they should unlock gender based combat poses as well...

Oh absolutely, I'd love it if we could choose by number. Especially when there are so many to choose from between standing, sitting, and ground sitting.I feel like the randomiser looks unnatural anyway. I always go with a fixed pose for my characters.
One thing I would really like is to be able to go straight to a pose, eg. if you typed "/cpose 3" you'd go straight into pose 3 rather than having to cycle through everything. 100% with you there. I really love the male Dark Knight and Dragoon poses, but wouldn't want to trade them for female Warrior or Gunbreaker.

no they wont, they want you to buy fantasia if u dont like your race
buy fantasia = money goes to SE = SE makes money
