I heard slim's dislike black disks also I've heard the way the black discs were made that the discs will no longer work in a few years or so something about the way they were made.

My PS2 has the same issue D: Had to pull it apart and tweak with the innards but even now it's temperamental ; ;

Just play it on emulator with those enhanced graphic settings.
Tho there might be problems reading black disc. Can try decrypter to make ISO out those disc. ;D

Im so sorry to say this but best PS1 game ever -> Legend of Dragoon

Sorry, I have to disagree. While the game battle techniques were uniquely good, The overall storyline and how it was presented was just... embarrassing. It's like watching a bad soap opera. I had to quit on disc 3 early because of how the story goes. ;D

But again, it might be just me.
