Managed to relocate to my desired plot (small) in Shirogane. That said, my server is not very populated and only the Large/Mediums were snagged up in my new district.

There is at least one website for plot updates, also. However I believe it was having issues this go around, due to the new wards and the person running the site being away for a bit.I am saying this - There is a mod/plugin that certain discord channels/servers use that keep people updated on the states of plots throughout the wards. Though I am not sure if that also mentions the amount of bids the plots have when they are open for the lottery.
Just food for thought of which lengths people go for this.
It's just so funny to me, how people would actually prefer housing savage and placard spaming over the "new and improved" lottery system lmao.
Like at this point it should REALLY ring a bell, that people HATE the lottery system and maybe instance housing would be a solution. But we can't do that. We can only do Island Sanctuary which is basically a watered down version of instance housing on a bigger scale.
Or here is a WILD concept: Reduce the housing timer, as someone suggested earlier, and idk make bidding and result periods last 1-2 days instead of almost an entire week, so people don't start growing gray hairs by the time they actually get a plot. IF they get a plot at all. Or just do something about shell FCs and RMT ? But yeah... Such great improvements over macro placard spamers and relocating trolls. Love it![]()
Lost lottery-
I play since 8 years and never had a house. Old system literally encouraged botting because if you were a person with a job u needed incredible luck to get one otherwise.
This system is better but for people like me who had to do 200+ castrum runs to get one field note or needs to run the current normal raid tier 10+ times to get one item, its even more difficult

Wandered around my server till I found a medium with 0 bids that was in my top 10 list. Got my bid in 20m before they closed on my #3 spot. Ez relocation.
Has Sqare even acknowledged how awful the system is? I don't mean just passively adding new wards but actually saying literally anything about the dumpster fire that is player housing and how so many people hate it.
It's the way they want housing. If we were gonna get instanced we'd have gotten it already but they like the neighborhood style. Island Sanctuary is, in my opinion, our compromise for that.
Plus it gives people a reason to stay subbed so why change it?
*This isn't me saying housing in its current state is good.*
i secured a medium (no other bidders) and the gf got a large (3 bidders). Even though we got what we wanted. this system still sucks. imo they need to come up with a system that gives everyone access. They pulled it off with islands so it's not impossible.
Yeah I know it's what they want, I commented on it a few posts ago too. It's just so mind-boggling, I've believed YoshiP might be out of touch with the player base for a while but to be this blind to how unhappy people are with a major feature in the game is just truly shocking. It's the way they want housing. I don't think they're blind to it, just that they're not willing to budge on it. We wouldn't keep getting new wards if they just didn't care in general.Yeah I know it's what they want, I commented on it a few posts ago too.
