What is up with so many important characters having white / silver hair in this game?

We've got:

• Louisoix
• Y'shtola
• Alphinaud
• Alisaie
• Thancred
• Urianger
• Estinien
• Hades
• Venat
• Elidibus

And these are just on top of my head

Do the devs like whitish hair really that much?

I would point out that one of these characters is an old man and having a hair color that isn't white or grey would stand out more. Probably. Maybe. I don't know. Also we forgot Cid.

I have seen suggestion that Louisoix might be why the twins have white hair, to act as a signifier of 'these characters are related to this character'. That, yeah, doesn't make a lot of sense because Louisoix had white hair because he was old, and multiple other major characters ALSO had white hair.
